Robert M. Meyer

Mr. Meyer is an Executive Vice President of Valley National Bank, located in Wayne, New Jersey. Mr. Meyer is the officer in charge of the commercial loan, commercial mortgage, special assets, legal, corporate and government services, SBA lending departments and Valley Commercial Capital, LLC. Prior to the merger of Midland Bancorp from 1991 to 1997, Mr. Meyer entered the banking industry in 1969 after spending several years as a high school teacher.

Mr. Meyer is a graduate of Montclair State University with a B.A. and M.A. in Business Education. He also received his M.B.A. from the University of Miami.

Mr. Meyer is a Director for the United Way of Bergen County; he was also the chairman for the 1995 and 1996 United Way Campaigns. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey. Mr. Meyer has been involved with various fund-raisers for the Girl Scouts of Bergen County and Bergen County Community College. Mr. Meyer is the former chairman of the Community Bankers Association (NJ) and a former member of the Board of Trustees for the New Jersey Bankers Association.
