Today, after 54 years as one of the largest charitable organizations in the community, Bergen County’s United Way has redefined itself as the direct service provider of choice for people who need help. Our mission is to help people 24 hours a day whenever and wherever help is needed by providing concrete solutions to critical community problems – with tangible results directly impacting individuals and families throughout every municipality in the county.
Our commitment is to assist the most vulnerable residents in our community by developing programs and financial resources to address unmet needs. The quality of our programs, the professionalism of our staff and the united voice of the community represented by the members of our Board of Directors, and the many donors and collaborators who help to move our mission forward, are testament to that pledge.
Bergen County’s United Way is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit and registered charitable organization with the State of New Jersey.
